This document was developed by the Compliance Section of the Office of Special Education (OSE) in the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE) in working with the Missouri Parents Act (MPACT).  OSE’s services are mainly supported by federal money set aside by the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA).

This document is offered as a guide for the rules of special education and related services.
